Summary/Abstract: The subject of this paper is financial services and behaviours of elder consumers in the market for banking, insurance, and other financial services. The main aim of the article is to identify the crucial social and demographic variables which are influencing the usage of financial services by persons in the age group 50+. In the work, there were used a critical analysis of literature and an analysis of the results applied with a questionnaire form carried out among 753 people in the age group 50+ inhabiting northern Poland. There were indicated socio-demographic variables such as age, education, and income, which are influencing the usage of financial services by people in the age group 50+.
