Summary/Abstract: The aim of the this study is to present a new trend in lifestyle of the postmodern society defined by the term ‘downshifting’. The study also indicates the relation between downshifting and the so popular philosophy of Slow Life and the phenomenon of relocation to small towns, especially Cittàslow, being the aim of life search of the downshifters.
