Summary/Abstract: Considering: (1) the necessary references to the present time, which is defined as postmodernism, (2) the question of to what extent the parallel degradation or devaluation of the Western world takes place and of constructing or reconstructing of societies according to the vision of the ideal created by the French thinkers of the Age of Enlightenment, as well as (3) the issues concerning culture and the continental „worlds” – the cradle of culture and religion, the Author conducts a study of the nurturing role of the family home and the importance of bonds existing within families understood as the only opportunity to create the attitude of opennes within the European community towards the world outside of the religious and civilisational cultures of Europe.
