Summary/Abstract: The family is needed by human beings in every period of their lives. It defines the circumstances of the individual development in the sphere of personality, it satisfies the appropriate biological and psychological needs, it makes life significant and meaningful, it inspires in order to be active, it affects the development of the interests, it enables to integrate with the world of culture as well as enables to assimilate the norms and values existing there, moreover, it protects and helps in difficult situations. Undertaking the above-mentioned considerations, the author introduces the reader to the concept of interest in the field of the pedagogical literature. In the sphere of the aforementioned reflections, the research concerning such matters was carried out. Analyzing the outcomes, one should state that, among others, parents, to some extent, of course limited by the objective factors, create the interests in the nature owing to undertaking various actions, which positively influence personal and emotional development of their child.
