Summary/Abstract: This article discusses the results of the most recent empirical research that proves that prosocial expenditure produces satisfaction, leading to greater welfare and happiness than to self-consumption. The paper presents theoretical concepts explaining the relationships identified. The work is a review of literature, the data used in it is from secondary sources. The article makes recommendations to companies - programs that have clear mechanisms and specific social objectives, communicated in a single-track and consistent manner with the value of their customers, have the potential to become a significant added value for both companies, their customers and society.
