Summary/Abstract: Online auctions are an important element of e-commerce in Poland. It is expected that this phenomenon will develop, which implies the interest of researchers and the practitioner environment to identify mechanisms and develop models for conducting online business. The purpose of the discussion is to identify and characterize the behavior of buyers on online auctions. The case study is the method used. The on-line behavior of online buyers was discussed at auctions conducted by OT through the Allegro portal. According to the analysis, there are no significant differences in the behavior of women and men and that online buyers accept electronic payments. Significant fluctuations are the time of transactions, such as the calendar year, the days of the week, and the hours of the day. The analysis may be generalized to the behavior of all buyers of this product category in the sales channel, ie on-line auctions. In practical terms it can be used by e-sellers at the operational level, eg to adjust resources to variable customer traffic over time.
