The meaning of the notion „patriotism” for teenage students inhabiting the rural areas

Summary/Abstract: The author has carried out a research aiming at establishing how of the notion of „patriotism” is understood by the teenage students in the rural areas and what is their personal way of being patriots. The research has included such questions as: „What are the most appreciated qualities for you?” „How do you estimate the need for patriotism in contemporary Poland?” „What are the social groups that you feel mostly integrated with?” Besides, the author was trying to determine if the students were viewing themselves as citizens of Europe. The research has been carried out with the help of diagnostic survey method.
