Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the education of girls in the period of Renaissance. The author introduces the opinions of some ancient philosophers on the question of educating girls. She quotes Erasmus of Rotterdam, John Louis Vives and Thomas More. Besides, she mentions the presence of the idea of educating women in the Polish philosophical thought.
