Summary/Abstract: This century has come with different types of challenges in securitymatters that set a new security agenda for multiple fields, including intelligence.We all live in a growingly complex IT ecosystem, where the availability of thetechnology is pushed to lower levels, the security of information is fragile, andthe citizens change the ways they communicate with one another and withstates and governments. The technology-related change is affecting theintelligence agencies ability to deal with some of the most important threats,ranging or coming from the cyber arena, hybrid warfare, large scale migrationflows, terrorism, counterespionage and other. Tackling these phenomena is notan easy task for the intelligence field requiring a comprehensive and reinforcedcooperative approach, mutual support and assistance, doubled by theresponsibility at state levels in decision making
