Summary/Abstract: The question which we want to find the answer for is: what caused that F. Dostoyevsky was considered a philosopher and his novels were acknowledged as expressing his philosophical views? This is possible by finding in his writings typically philosophical content which includes metaphysical, epistemological and axiological issues; with paying attention to historical specificity of Russian philosophy, namely its evolution and problems.
