Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the issue of energy infrastructure capacity auctions as a tool of improving the energy security of Poland. It argues that the experiences from foreign markets clearly indicate that this method of capacity allocation may be an effective way of providing the energy supply precisely where it is needed or generating extra funds for further infrastructure development.
