Summary/Abstract: The mass influx of refugees and people who are – or could be – recognized as economic immigrants (often arriving to Europe in an illegal way) has provoked a political debate among states, and also on the EU’s level as well as on the level of other international organizations such as the UN. The paper deals with the analysis of measures aimed at reducing the scale of the refugee crisis from 2014 to 2016 (or resolving it), being focused on both regional (EU) and global (UN) approaches.
