Summary/Abstract: Yugoslav athletes took part in the two greatest European contests in 1962: the 7th European Athletic Championship held in Belgrade from September 12 to 16, and the Balkan Games held in Ankara from September 28 to 30. They broke seven national records and won one silver medal, one fourth, one fifth, two sixth, three seventh, five eighth and one ninth place.
