Summary/Abstract: The four Russo-Turkish wars (some of them with Austrian participation) have led to the transformation of the territory of the Romanian Principalities into a theater of military operations, causing untold losses to the economy of Preventing normal demographic change and leading to the emergence of devastating epidemics.
