Summary/Abstract: This book describes the place occupied by the Goga - Cuza government in Romanian political history during the fourth decade of the twentieth century. It is the first government made of anti - Semitism a problem by making it the basis of certain laws and decisions of a governmental character. A special place is granted to the "wood for the revision of citizenship" sanctioned by King Charles I I in January 1938 and which is contrary to the peace treaties signed by Romania at the end of the First World War. The anti-Semitic laws issued during the Goga-Cuza government are only the beginning of a real program of action concerning the ethnic restructuring of Romanian society, the abduction of Jews from equal citizens in rights and their condemnation to civic death . We hope that this book presents a new way of approaching contemporary history, which is less politicizing but more constructive, and which is based on the many serious studies
