Selected aspects of managing the exploration project in Poland, Germany and Spain

Summary/Abstract: Conducting the geological exploration works is being done in the form of managing the project, since there appear the typical features, during the project realization, which are typical for managing the project and which was indicated in the article. The appropriate project management requires the engagement and competence. The exploration projects are interdisciplinary and demand sufficient investment. They are referred to unknown areas and discovering new possibilities. In this article, the selected aspects of managing the project in three countries were presented: in Poland, Germany and Spain. The author concentrated on the activities which are performed at particular stages of carrying the exploration project. The analysis shows that the management over the project is being carried out similarly in the three indicated countries. The differences result mainly from the legal aspects e.g. in the field of obtaining the permits to carry out the exploration works and these aspects were focused at.
