Summary/Abstract: In this article describes the targets, methods of foreign policy pursued by U.S. President John Fitzgerald Kennedy to Vietnam. The article includes an analysis of the use of United States Special Operations Forces (U.S SOF) as an instrument of U.S. foreign policy in the years 1961–1963. In this analysis, there is a description of personal involvement President Kennedy in the case of U.S. SOF, the principle of action Vietnamese communist guerrillas and the most effective ways to combat the guerrillas.
