Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is an attempt to explore the theoretical essence of jobless growth phenomena as well as the empirical assessment of the level and dynamic of employment and economic growth in polish regions over the period 1995–2013. In the above context the main theoretical background of jobless growth phenomena and the results of the earlier studies concerning the Polish labor market was identified and described. The results of conducted analysis indicate that in some periods the jobless growth processes was present on the Polish labor market. The industry-mix analysis indicate that the one of the potential sources of such situation could be the over-employment in agriculture sector. Additionally empirical analysis indicate that so called limit of jobless growth in case of Polish regions amounted to 3,1 %.
