Summary/Abstract: The paper explores the way in which World War II is perceived and reflected by some characters in Penelope Lively’s novel “Moon Tiger”. Thus, we analyse the perceptions of Claudia Hampton, a historian and war correspondent, and of Tom Southern, a tank officer, and the reflections of the same characters and of Jasper, a TV mogul at the time of the reflection. We shall point out the fact that similar positions engender similar perceptions and reflections.
