Analysis of the Impact of Educational Attainment on the Level of Unemployment in Poland and the European Union

Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the phenomenon of unemployment in Poland and the European Union in the period 2003–2012 and its impact on educational attainment. In the first part article contains condition and structure of unemployment in Poland and the European Union. The second part of the article is to however empirical and an analysis of the significance of the level of education on unemployment in the prescribed area. The aim of this article is to investigate the relationship between education level and the intensity of unemployment in Poland and European Union countries,and provide directions for action to reduce the level of unemployment among people with higher education.
