Summary/Abstract: The aim of the following article is to present the selected aspects of the functioning mechanism of the Pomerania Euroregion. The author presents the conditions of cooperation on the border, and analyzes strategic development programs of the euroregion in the context of both Europe 2020 and the development strategy of the Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship. A survey has been conducted among 200 students of Szczecin universities, asking their assessment of the advantages related to the functioning of euroregional cooperation. Social expectations as to the desired directions of development of cross-border cooperation have been determined.
