Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the main challenges and strategies of development projects in three Roma communities: Hetea (Valcele), Zabrauti (Bucharest) and Strand (Timisoara). The main focus is on the relationship between the project team and the project beneficiaries: which are the difficulties resulting from its asymmetry, and how can it be leveled to become a more balanced interaction.
