Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the role of Arnošt of Pardubice in local memory of the region of Kłodzko. Arnošt, the first Prague archbishop and the nearest associate of Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV, was closely connected with the capital of the province. His resilient activity here (founding of churches, establishing of the monastery of Canons Regular St. Augustine) gave him the status of a significant local historical figure. Arnošt’s remains rest in the parish church in Kłodzko to date and the local community take care of commemorating him by organizing various initiatives. These initiatives show the identification and attachment to the region.
