Summary/Abstract: The Canons Regular of Saint Augustine belonged to a small group of orders that were subordinate to the jurisdiction of the diocesan bishop. The Archbishop of Prague Arnošt of Pardubice established a monastery of the above-mentioned order in Kłodzko in 1350.Seven years later, in 1357, Arnošt of Pardubice issued a charter in favour of the convent in Kłodzko, which transferred the jurisdiction of the archbishop over the members of the convent to the provost of the monastery. The text of the charter is preserved in the original, and the document was confirmed twice (1399, 1417). The original charter as well as its confirmations are preserved in the parish archive in Kłodzko, where documents of the former canonry have been deposited. In the article, the author presents an analysis of the dating of the charter and a description of its provisions.
