Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the importance of the National archive of Styria for the study of the history of the peoples of South East Europe. The author in the paper presents the most important funds and collections that researchers can use to explore the history of their people. So for the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the most important collection of Militaria, which is within the archives of Graz, is of great importance. The second most important group of archival material is the acts of the Interior-Austrian government, then the personal documentation of Franz Ferdinand, etc. Apart from these funds and collections, there are also various other private collections, such as Lucova's southeast collection.
