Summary/Abstract: The royal exile is an existential state imposed politically through coups d’état, changes of political regimes following revolutions or wars. The exile has consequences on an individual level, for each of the members of the royal families, while as far as the state is concerned, the monarchic institution and the dynasty are overthrown by force or usurpation. The research and publication of yet unedited information regarding the royal exile represents an important restitution of a chapter in recent history.
