Summary/Abstract: In the beginning of 20th century there were about 7 percent of Jewish inhabitants in Lithuania. According to 1931 registration in Lithuania were 5498 scouts, 2893 of them where Jewish, participating in two organizations - Hašomer – Hacair and Berit Trumpeldor. From restitution Lithuanians independence until 1930 Lithuanian and Jewish scout organizations acted separately, keeping just formal contacts. But in 1930, under scout nationalization law Jewish should join Lithuanian scout organization. The problem was that Jewish scouts weren’t scouts in true meaning of this word. Except small group method and living in nature there was nothing common with Lithuanian scouts. Process of joining was very complicated and wasn’t fulfilled completely until 1940. Hašomer – Hacair formally joined Lithuanian scout association, Berit Trumpeldor was prohibited.
