Summary/Abstract: The critical view on cognitive methods of accounting by J. Górski is the main subject of this paper. These methods were scientific achievement in the 1960s. Both the classification of cognitive methods and their explanation are nowadays out of date. Methods of accounting research need to be revised to be brough up to date. This paper offers proposals relating to modern formulation of accounting research methods.
