Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the importance of social security and to show the role it plays in shaping the national security of the Republic of Poland. The publication also shows the social and psychosocial risks posed by modern pathologies. This also addresses the threat posed by demographic problems. The data of the Central Statistical Office and materials published in this matter were analyzed. Social threats and their impact on state security have been shown. In addition, the most important challenges facing Poland are discussed in order to ensure the safe existence of citizens.The author points out the possible consequences and risk of the threats presented here for the country.
