Summary/Abstract: The count Paul Keller was born in 1883 and had a very unpredictably life. He was the captain of the first Russian submarine and fought in the Russo- Japanese war in 1904-1905. in the First World War he took refuge in Romania. In this article we present his correspondence with his friend Nicolae Trohani, who shared with him the time in the soviet Gulag.
