Summary/Abstract: The paper examines the external trade relations of several Member States of the European Union during the period from 2004 till 2015. It analyses particular external trade relations of former socialist countries - Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Croatia after their joining to the EU. Special attention is paid to the share of export and import flows to other member states and other countries outside the EU. It also outlines certain trends relating to the export and the import of these eleven countries for the period under review.
