Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the capability of government institutions to cooperate and exchange information in fight against financial crime and tax fraud. It reveals the main mutual assistance instruments, both national and international. It is also analyzed the current trends, as well as the future potential in this field, through outlining the most important areas that should be addressed to improve cooperation between institutions.
