Turnover as an indicator for the Macedonian stock exchange operating

Summary/Abstract: There are more indicators to estimate the operating and the level of development of the stock market. One of these indicators is the size of the stock exchange turnover, which is analyzed in the paper. In order to get a whole picture of the situation and trends of the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) as seen through the prism of the turnover of the market, the research is made based on: the total turnover realized, types of transactions on the market, market segments (official and regular market) and the types of investors. In the analysis is covered 10 years of the functioning of the Macedonian Stock Exchange (2005-2015), which further allows to see an impact from the global financial crisis on the operating of the MSE.
