The principles of public procurement

Summary/Abstract: An important component of the Europe 2020 strategy developed by the Commission is the public procurement. According to this document, the public procurement represents a key market instrument for achieving the Union's policies so that, in 2014, there were adopted three directives to modernize this domain. In this context, in 2016, through a package legislation, these European rules have been transposed into national law. The new regulatory framework - national and European - confers a mandatory character to the principles so that they will be a real corollary of the entire mechanism of public procurement.
