Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the new idioms in modern Russian. New researches show, that the changes in the idiomatic fund of Russian are significant. The author deals with the term idiomatic neologism. The new idioms appear by traditional lexical ways, they may be connected with political, economical, sports etc. spheres. A lot of new idioms come from English language. They can be identical in some Slavonic languages or they may exist only in Russian. Next resources are in the sphere of computer and internet communication. But the largest quantity of new idioms have their origin in Russian slang and argot.
