Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to researching the key categories of the contemporary literary criticism. It is aimed at outlining difference and similarity of the basic concepts by Bakhtin (dialogue) and Kristeva (intertextuality). As a result the author comes to the conclusion that for solving the problem one have to refer to the “third” universal category — memory of literature. This category reveals new ways of promoting literary analysis and helps to correct our development in this area.
