Summary/Abstract: Cinematheque of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a relatively young institution, which inherits the rich film heritage of domestic and foreign origin. Until 1994, Cinematheque operated within the Archives of Bosnia and Herzegovina and since then is an independent institution. The main feature of the existing Cinematheque Film Fund is incompleteness, although numerous funds have not yet reached the Cinematheque archive. They are kept in inadequate space and the lack of space is a limiting factor for the takeover of new funds. It encourages the fact that Cinematheque is a member of FIFA and that this area is regulated by the necessary legal regulations. Due to the importance of this type of archival material, an increase in the interest of the society is expected for an adequate solution of its protection.
