Summary/Abstract: The article is a part of the current research on changes in naming motivation and its popularity and frequency. The purpose of this discussion is to analyse the naming resource and to point at the motivation that shapes it. The onomastic material, which is the subject of this study was taken from the books of baptisms gathered in the Parish of St. Nicholas in Niegowa in the years 1915–2011.
