Summary/Abstract: Benjamin’s „prophecy“ that new technologies will significantly change traditional forms of artistic practice came true. It is likely that art is no longer actively creative where aesthetic experience and the whole life experience of the creator dominate. The priority is given to technological framework where creative engagement is being transformed in various material forms and forms that are accessible through senses. Technical, rather than anthropological or artistic explanations and interpretations are more appropriate for the culture of new age. Besides uncontested advancement, new media-technological culture will bring to modern life a significant dose of superficiality and easiness that flatten the senses. However, the audience that is more consumer-oriented than user-oriented is prepared by the media and shaped to accept such production. The one of archetypes that is jeopardized the most by new cultural paradigm belongs to the world of traditional arts and its cultural logic. The process of transformation of spiritual sphere under the influence of technological development is not over. On the basis of the latest changes lies technological advancement that is mainly distinguished by the phenomenon of digitalization. The problem that comes after is the constitution of „the culture of oblivion“.
