Summary/Abstract: The amendment to the bill on copyright from February 14th 1994 and related legal acts was made in 2015. Its aim was to adapt Polish legal regulations to new requirements and directives set by the European Union. In the article the most significant influence of the new law on libraries – including fair use, educational and academic fair use, incidental use, orphan works, works unavailable in trade, public lending rights and quotation right – have been discussed.
