Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present some ways of aiding traditional approaches to teaching English grammar with the cognitive one. The present author concentrates on improving teaching in such areas as (un)countability, articles or tense. The article relies on the research carried out by Berezowski and Bielak and Pawlak.
