Summary/Abstract: The very first ideas on theatre have appeared on the Vth and VIth century B.C. in Athens. Aristotle, in his systematic work “Poetics”, has described some of the rules of theatre such as rule of “three union rule” (the event-space-time unity) and catharsis. And also he mentioned that the main character should be superior to the ordinary average person. For example, the main character should be virtuous. According to him, otherwise, the audience would find it as just an ordinary case and would not be able to feel “catharsis” and as a result he/she could get upset. This study is exploring the changes in interpersonal communication skills today, the increase in the use of technology in daily life, and its possible effects on both acting and writing. It explains how the rules have to be changed in theatre and argue that the characters are getting similar to the average and the catharsis is not as important as in the past.
