Summary/Abstract: The internet is a public global communication system of interconnected computer networks and it is intended for exchange of information in different forms. It is often referred to as “network of networks” because it integrates thousands of different computer networks. Internet has proved to be a widespread medium and integral part of the habits of millions of users. Capabilities of the internet as an information and direct distribution channel are related to the development of a successful web site of tourism enterprises and tourist destinations on the local, national and global levels. On the one hand, internet allows companies the implementation of new pricing strategies and global market access. On the other hand, it allows potential tourists to obtain information about tourism offer, compare prices and quality of tourism services, book and purchase travel services and form their own travel arrangements through the Web site. Internet adoption in the hotel business is a significant element for achieving competitive advantages in the global and turbulent tourism market. The aim of this paper is to point out the hotel offer of the city of Niš on the internet and the importance of the future expansion of distribution and communication activities of the hotel the city of Niš on the global network.
