Summary/Abstract: The Diocesan Library in Toruń commenced the computerized cataloging of its collections in 2000 by using the MAK software by the National Library. The implementation of the program was aided by employees of the Provincial Public Library in Toruń. However, over ten years, only 20,000 volumes were cataloged. In 2010 cooperation was established with the University Library in Toruń. The records were converted to the MARC21 format and imported into the Horizon program. Sharing the catalog database with the university is easier for the readers, as they are able to see information about the sought-for book in the city’s various libraries by using only one catalog. Establishing cooperation with the NUKAT central catalog has also facilitated the work of the librarians, who can now download ready-to-use records from it. As a result, over 52,000 volumes were cataloged by the end of 2015. It has enabled the collections of the Diocesan Library to be presented as well.
