Summary/Abstract: The article examines lexicographical practice applied in {Słownik języka polskiego} ({Polish Dictionary}) edited by Tadeusz Lehr-Spławiński, an unfinished work, though important for the interwar period. The research material comes from the the letter „L” entries, and includes both idioms and open compounds. The notations of the phraseology in the dictionary were analyzed from the perspective of its macro- and microstructure. Analysis of the macrostructure allowed to capture the rules of idioms’ registration in this dictionary as compared to those customary in other lexicographical sources from this period ({Słownik warszawski}, {Słownik frazeologiczny} by Galle and Krasnowolski). Within the microstructure, the pragmatic (qualifiers) and semantic (ways of defining idioms) information has been analyzed.
