Elementary practice based on poetry reading. Onegin stanza

Summary/Abstract: In the article the work process on the basis of so-called ‘Onegin stanza’ written by Aleksandr Pushkin in verses of jambic tetrameter has been revealed. The author shares knowledge with the reader and shows the way in which first-year students of Russian philology learn the correct pronunciation analyzing rhymes and rhythm of the poem Eugene Onegin. Student’s contact with the living word recorded by the actors on the electronic devices — audiobooks plays an important role in the process of learning to read based on the mentioned novel in verse.
