Summary/Abstract: In the period of the Second World War, the operation of the April Constitution was limited in several respects. This concerns its territorial extent, but also the organization and functioning of the supreme organs of state. The authors discuss the issues of administration of justice in the context of the application of the Basic Law of 1935 during the years of the war. Due to the multi-aspect nature of theproblems dealt with, the approach is reduced to include only three actors responsible for justice in Poland in the wartime period, namely the President of the Republic of Poland, the Ministry of Justice, and the judiciary. In discussing each of them, the author examines the key elements shaping the functionality of the administration of justice. The article is of historical and legal in nature.
