Summary/Abstract: The handwritten document contains a set of graphic features which characterize the author. Document content and the style of language usage plays a major role in the identification process. Transformation of simple language blocks into complex syntactical structures are not of a mechanical nature. Since the nature of this process is psychological therefore it is also unique. With the widespread use of printers the role of language traces is rising as a tool for both particular and group forensic identification. The article will discern ways of language trace application in the research of handwriting studies.
