Working in Integral Education

Summary/Abstract: Artykuł ukazuje pracę jako istotny czynnik w odkrywaniu tożsamości i godności oraz w osiąganiu dojrzałości ludzkiej. Głównym celem jest zwrócenie uwagi na wychowawczą wartość pracy w odniesieniu do procesu samowychowania oraz aktywności społeczno-kulturowej człowieka. Dlatego zostanie zaakcentowane zagadnienie pracy nad sobą oraz pracy na rzecz dobra wspólnego. Na przykładzie społecznika i pedagoga Mieczysława Kuznowicza będziemy starali się wskazać, w jaki sposób pomagać młodzieży w procesie usamodzielnienia i uspołecznienia oraz jak przygotować do wykonywania przez nią rzetelnie i uczciwie pracy i obowiązków. Podkreślimy, że podejście do problematyki pracy powinno również dla współczesnych stanowić ważny element wychowawczy w integralnym rozwoju człowieka oraz twórczym współtworzeniu i funkcjonowaniu społeczeństwa obywatelskiego. The paper presents work as an essential factor in discovering identity and dignity as well as in reaching human maturity. The main aim is to draw attention to the educational value of work with reference to the process of self-education and human socio-cultural activity. Therefore, the issue of work on oneself and work for the common good will be highlighted. On the example of a community worker and a pedagogue Mieczysław Kuznowicz, the author will attempt to show the way to assist young people in the process of becoming independent and socialized as well as the way to prepare them to carry out work and duties diligently and honestly. The author will also emphasize that the approach to issues connected with work should also present an important educational element for contemporary people in the integral human development and in the creative contributing to and functioning of the civic society.
