Summary/Abstract: The concept of restorative justice was created as a response to traditional retributive criminal justice system that puts emphasis on the criminal offense and the offender. This concept was developed during the 70s and 80s of XX century with actualization Criticism retributive criminal justice system that is not shown to be effective in reducing crime and providing protection to victims of criminal offenses. In such circumstances, the idea of re-socialization and restoration was created as a response to the failure of the system as a form of retributive responses to crime.
